I have lost my "mojo"

It seems that ever since I had the misscarrage 2 weeks ago (2 weeks and 2 days to be exact) I have lost all desire to scrap or be creative in any way, shape or form.

My mojo is gone.

I sat down one day last week to try to scrap something and I just sat there, moving pictures around, changing papers etc. I tried everything, looking through idea books, magazines, CK Image gallery, 2 Peas, nothing inspired me.
I popped in my iPod buds and turned on some Frank Sinatra (which usually inspires me), still nothing.

This is a HORRIBLE feeling!

The one thing that you "do" and you don't even have the desire to "do" it.

I sat down today at playgroup and started on an altered recipe box that I am making for some one, I cut out the dividers yesterday, so today I was just gonna cut out the paper to cover the outside of the box and put the lables on the divider. Well I got all that done, then tried to decorate a divider, well it looks like crap. I'll probably end up taking it apart and re-doing it later. This is so frusterating.

I made an altered letter for my mom, painted and covered it in paper and a few coats of modpodge, so far it turned out ok, just need to add ribbon or something to it. anything I held on it didn't look right.

How can I get my mojo back?!?!?

  1. Hi Linsey... I don't have words to tell you how to get your mojo back. But I do think you should download Watermark's song Glory Baby. It will inspire you. Touch you. Move you. I promise. The songwriter, Christy Nockles, wrote it after having a miscarriage. I'll be praying for you girl.

  2. After I miscarried 3 years ago, I made a memorial page for our little one. I was 5 1/2 wks along with our third. It's a simple LO with a lot of journaling.
