The Bee costume on Cole was actually from my little brother. He wore it when he was about 18 months old. It was pretty short on Cole but worked out just fine.

a couple highlights:

The airshow was alot of fun. The boys had a blast. It kinda sucked for me. Dh told me to wear comfy shoes because we would do alot of walking, so I put on my most comfortable shoes, my thongs. Well he didn't tell me that we would have to walk through mostly grassy area. So of course as soon as we get out of the car, my foot hits the ground and I get stung by a fire ant.

long story short, i get multiple bites on my foot. When we get into the airshow, I head over to the red cross tent and they put some stuff on my foot to take the sting out. works great. well spent the day at the airshow, got home and put my foot up with an ice pack since it started swelling. next day I decide that it would be a good idea to get it checked out by a dr. since the swelling as increased and is traveling up my foot to my ankle. (plus I can't get a shoe on, and cannot walk) go to texas med clinic, where they tell me that I have a fever and my blood pressure is high. Dr. puts me on antibiotic and gives me something for the pain. Fine, go home, take an antibiotic and a pain pill and go to sleep. wake up at 2 am, drenched in sweat, shaking and nausiated. Morning comes and I proceed to "give up" everything in my stomach and then some. Derek takes me to the er, since swelling is still spreading and now I can't stop "ralphing"

turns out that I am throwing an allergic reaction not only to the stings, but also to the antibiotics. Lovely. he gives me some other meds to take care of the swelling/inflimation, anti-nausea med, pain med and something to counteract the venom from the fire ant sting. then tells me that as soon as the swelling in my foot goes down to go shopping for a pair of boots. LOL. exactly what Derek has been telling me. Poor Derek, they almost had to call a code "W" on him while the nurse was trying to get an iv in me. (she said they call a code "W" when a husband is about to faint, stands for "Code Wimp") After being on the new meds I am much better and back to my sahm duties. Laundry, cleaning and grocery shopping. Derek did clean up the kitchen last night. that was a BIG help.

I did go to a crop last friday night, and I do have a couple things that i did to post. Just gotta find the time. :)
