Elsie page

This is espically for Ms. Elsie's blog.
I am working on this board book (same as in my RAK), just for myself, If I am ever lucky enough to have a little girl, I'll pass it along to her. This book is going to be about all the women in my life and the impact they have had on me. This first page is for my great-grandmother, we called her "Grandmommie". She and I were VERY close. She died about 5 years ago of lukemia. She was 92 years old. She was such a fun lady, taught me so much. (and that is me in the one pic with the red dress on!)
I haven't had a chance to do my journaling yet. I think that will come when I finish the entire album.
I am using just the Roxie line from Love Elsie for the book. I was thinking about title-ing it "Well behaved women rarely make history" since the women in my family can be anything BUT well behaved. but I see that phrase EVERYWARE now, it's starting to get old...

  3. I love your idea. I have been thinking of the same thing. I even thought about using the same quote. I have been debating how much to actually write in the book- do I tell my girls ( I have 2) that I was a protester once in Washinton DC? A bra burner? How far do I go? I may have to save this until they are adults! I love the colors too. What a great blog you have-makes me want to start one but I am not sure anyone would read it! Mindy
